The Learning Consortium has be asked by one of our subscribers - who are an Approved Centre for the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) - whether we would like to work with them to make the following short courses available:
- Leadership in Action (3 days) - to enable participants to gain an understanding of leadership styles through interactive engagement with diverse role models & peer learning. Designed to give confidence & skills to enhance career prospects and develop community leadership. Participants develop their own action plan and are able to achieve an ILM Development Certificate.
- Fluent in Finance (1 day) - covering budgeting*, budget monitoring*, financial record keeping, project accounting*, balance sheets, profit and loss accounting, cash flow and financial jargon. The course will supply templates in a number of these areas (*) and will aim to demystify jargon and explain statutory requirements.
- Business Planning (1 day) - will explain the entire business planning process and equip participants with a draft business plan for their own organisation. Topics will include business context & environment, market analysis, SWOT analysis, organisational objectives, financial plan, action plan & risks.
- Commissioning & Contracting (1 day) - designed to enable participants to understand what commissioning means, the commissioning cycle, procurement & principles. The course will explore how to find appropriate opportunities and hoe to understand the PQQ stage and the 'Tender Readiness Pack'. Includes interactive exercises and a group presentation to underpin learning.
Subject to demand, suffcient numbers and delivery capacity, the courses can be delivered anywhere in the UK.
