The Community Learning Network has been active in the Lancaster and Morecambe area since 2004, becoming a registered charity in 2009. Like many Consortium Members, CLN specialises in engaging adults in learning, providing taster courses, building confidence and enabling progression to further learning and employment opportunities.

The charity's first AGM opened with a short testimonial from one of its beneficiaries. Robin signed up to a short cookery course, where he learnt about healthy eating and made new friends. He said that the learning environment provided by CLN had been very welcoming and he felt his confidence improved with each session. Robin is now a volunteer for the local Citizens Advice Bureau.

CLN became a Member of the Learning Consortium in 2009 after accessing our funding support service. The Consortium's Development Manager was delighted to be asked to speak at the AGM and take part in celebrating the charity's important milestone. A copy of Jonathan's presentation slides are available for download.
